Sodomy part 2?

I was surprised to read from newspaper and blog today about another sodomy allegation of DSAI. Somebody just never changed...When you are power crazy, then people will start to kick your butt..I just wonder how 2 series of allegations will make somebody a PM. I don't think so..Once our image being tainted, whatever we do, people still remember...Somehow, it is just doesn't matter we really did it or not...

It takes time and hard work to build integrity, but we may loss it in a blink...

recession is around the corner...

Few months ago, I read somewhere 10 years cycle economic downturn won't happen this time around. Are we still believe in this? Let us go through some fact, when government increased the petrol price to RM1.92/litre, the global oil price was below USD70 per barrel. And now the price, as of today, already exceeded USD 141 per barrel..Can we still expect good economic growth this year? World's stock exchanges dropped very sudden yesterday...
It is amazing to me when people keep expecting positive economic growth...hmm I think some people are playing around with numbers to show good management..In reality, what can you get from supermarket with RM100? Today went to Sungai Udang to buy some fresh seafoods. 1 snapper, 1 trevally and 1 kg of prawn cost me RM50. If in wet market, I may need extra RM20-30 to get those things. Imagine, if our income is less than RM1k, what can we eat? Economy still good?

Why he should be kicked out...

First thing in the morning I read today was about the sacking of Unisel's VC by the MB...If I'm the MB, I would do the same. As a professional, he in fact failed to choose the right Pro Canselor-Rosmah?? Judging from his previous post as UM's DVC, people expected him to do better. However, he chose to be ass-kisser..now, here is the door...Around the blog people were asking for her credibility to be appointed as Pro Canselor...Not an academician, not a prominent businesswoman, not a 'Dr Siti Hasmah the second'..and yet she was appointed...What was her highest education to lead the university?

Probably, he should consult pro-canselor a.k.a first lady in waiting.

I believe the world is very close to the END. What ever mistake we make today, God will refund by CASH so that we can learn from our mistake...

Fatigue....

Yeah...that was the best word to describe myself...I attended induksi course since the last 4 weeks, and today I sat for induksi exam...hmmm...imagine when we were forced to study a thick phone book...hahahaha...well, I took 2 days off before exam, however, it was really hard to study for I have astro and celcom broadband in front of me, by myself...worst of all, I feel hungry the whole day...hahahaha...always make time to have second breakfast, second lunch etc...I think that's why God plan I should work.....

The exam was good..at the same time I had to entertain so many unnecessary things....yeahh...with OBE auditing very soon, who can sleep well at night? Moreover, I gave a thought a lot on France thingy...another headache to think about it...oh yes, I submitted documents for visa processing. But, still so many uncertainties.. For me, unless we signed the agreement, then only it was appropriate to apply for visa. Somehow the company decided another way round...I guess they never think one of us might pull back...hahahaha...pity them if we suddenly pull back. As for myself, oh well, nothing much to lose even I step back.....hahaha...I'm not that workaholic in the first place...

What else make me so stress??? no paper in 1 year...really killing me..somehow I think I can even publish shit from overseas, but once we are in homeland we barely publish gold..hmmm..that's what I thought...anyway, I have reviewed 5 journals this year, only 1 manuscript was accepted with minor correction..Others, either major or re-write! In conclusion, I should not complain for got rejected hahahaha....who cares anyway....

Kenapa singgah kalau tak masuk

Somehow, I kind of like this song..Before anybody judges me for being jiwang, listen to the song first from youtube

For me the music itself is quite unique, the lyric also sort of impromptu...hmmm...I just simply love it...

Kenapa singgah kalau tak masuk-Flava

Jarang sekali terdengar bunyi
Ketukan di pintu hatiku ini
Kalau ada pun bila ku buka
Tiada siapa yang berada di luar

Tapi sejak dua menjak kini
Ku merasakan bagai ada tetamu
Tanpa dijemput sudi menjenguk
Pada waktu sepi menemaniku

chorus
Tidak mungkin tiada di sini
Kerna tiada siapa pernah kisah
Akan aku tertanya ku siapa kamu
Kenapa singgah kalau tak masuk
Ke dalam hatiku

Jarang sekali ku rasa rindu
Menantikan waktu untuk bertemu
Bisakah bersua walau seminit
Agar lahir peluang berterima kasih

chorus

Jarang sekali ku sebegini
Mengharapkan hati untuk diselami
Jangan biar fikiranku buntu
Memikirkan mimpi dalam jagaku

Sometime...stress can kill us....

I'm not sure what's happening to myself. It could be hormone changes or I simply stress.. Last few days, I realized something just not right..In the middle of my routine exercise, I mean after 20 minutes cycling (on exercyle), I moved to trade mill...After several minutes, I realized, my pulsed was very high ~180...Something must be wrong...I know myself very well, no matter how intense my exercise, my pulse hardly pass 170...My routine life to office as usual that day...I received an email that made me really mad, sad and frustrated. It's simple, everything was in order, and all of sudden without any warning we just had to scrap the plan...I'm crazy if I don't have any heart feeling...:-D..Back to the story, after I read that email, suddenly I feel my hand trembling..and I got headache ..My heart beat also quite fast..

Thank God, that evening I already made appointment to see Dr Jammy for influenza injection. So, I asked her to check my blood pressure...Yes, my blood pressure reached upper limit of normal blood pressure...130! My pulse also increased but not too high...

Moral of the story, sometimes, life is full of bumpy rides. It's up to us to deal with it...Life is full of unplanned plans, we just have to be more flexible. For myself, I simply have least flexibility. Everything must go according to my plan...and the result probably can kill me one day...:-))

Sepagi di Pelantar Sungai Udang

Although I live quite close to Sungai Udang, this is the first time I went there to buy seafood. The best time to go there is around 11am everyday. At that time, fishermen are arriving from sea, so we can get a good deal..If we go very late, then there's no way to get parking..hehehe...bring small car, the place is such a very small and crowded town...

All seafoods are very fresh and cheap...Guess what, for ikan kembung which we normally get around RM4-8 in market, it cost only RM2-3 per kg..for ikan sembilang that still alive only cost me RM16/kg. Sea prawn (big size) only RM15/kg...hmm..I would say a good place to shop and increase our cholesterol level :-))

The best thing, this people act like they only want to sell ikan kembung to people. Here, we need to use our charming, muka kesian, or negotiation skill..hehehe...somehow, we managed to get what we wanted with our 'soft skills' hahahaha...even rich apek simply cannot resist us..

Here are several shots from my visit...

City of love...

Update 14 June 2008:

Yes...I got the offer from the company! :-) If VC approve, insyaallah I'm going to the city of love in August for a year...Of course I'm not that sure this is the right decision, for now, what choice do I have? simply want to go out of 'kepompong'....

p/s: Also means I have successfully 'jual minyak'...hahahaha

Original post 13 June 2008:

After a 'good reading' over the weekend, I managed to 'jual minyak' in both telephone interview sessions..If people asked me last week about the project, future of it, definitely I could not comment on it..hahaha...But I guess, being a lecturer of course we are trained to 'goreng'...and I hope it did sound 'intellectual'...hahaha..not 'tong kosong' I hope hahahaha...Do I really care if I get it or not?? Big question there...In a way, it means I have to stick with what I'm doing now..And those who bothering me will be around me for the rest of my career...hehehe...The good thing, I can be much better in what I' doing now...In conclusion, it doesn't really matter...Just hope God will give me what is the best for me and my future...

My opinion on telephone interview is it can be difficult hahahha..In the first interview, it was quite ok because 1-1 communication, and with technical people. We spoke more or less the same language..hahaha..In the second interview, a group of interviewers comprised of various races...Imagine..when we have to listen to telephone conversation using speaker....very difficult! The good thing about telephone interview, people cannot judge your appearance, body language etc..Moreover, you can have notes, journals, book in front of you..hahahaha...I should join telemarketing...

Here is part of the txt message from one of the interviewer...

'I think the interview went very well. You presented yourself very very well..the team really liked you and from Laurent's email (first interviewer), he does too...'

Ahaks....I guess, from the txt, I did not sound stupid during interviews...Of course with the help of VP...hahahaha..They already interviewed 20++ PhD holders for 1 post, so if I don't get it, I'm a normal person..hahaha..If I get it, then I'm abnormal....whatever it is, life goes on...

finally move in...

Finally I move in my house although it's not complete yet...Not that I'm not patience enough, but I simply 'kopak' hahahaha..First night staying alone was a nightmare..I barely slept all night hahaha...not that I never stay alone, but the house seemed too big for myself hahahaha...I always imagine what happen in other 3 empty bedrooms, 2 empty bathrooms, and so on.....hahaha...simply scary when have to live alone hahahaha...

here are several pictures around the house...

Hall..with my workstation imported from Wang Kelian..hehehe.. Proof that I do some work at home
Other side of halland from other side..couch on that side can pusing-pusing...check my fish or watch TV..:-)My fish lor...3 of them committed suicide..Staircase..what a good exercise...try my best not to go up..or not to go down...hahaha
Now, I start to cook again..although I think I lose my touch already..hehehe...no money to upgrade my kitchen...Master bedroom..basically my room..On 2 rooms in my house have bed though..bring toto if you want to come..hahaha..My mini gym...for viewing ONLY...I repeat...VIEWING...barely use them, that's how I take care of myself...sayang oo bakar lemak...

back off or NOT to back off....

In life, sometimes we really have to make a difficult decision...Our decision sometimes not only affect ourselves but also community in general..In my case, if thing gets harder, I always think about 'fardhu kifayah' concept means 'orang lain buat, aku tak payah'...hahaha...this concept is always an excuse for not trying to involve in something new or push ourselves beyond our capability..hmmm...

Questions to myself:
- Do I have capability to do this?
- Do I have time to go through all these?
- Am I patience enough to start something completely new to me?
- How about if it does not work?

Answers to my questions:
- Well, if I never try then I will never know...
- whatever happen I have 24 hours a day, 365 days a year...everything depends on how I spend my time..anyway, I have time to post something on my blog :-D
- I guess, when we getting more mature (I don't want to say older), we become more patience...hehehe..probably very least hormone changes..
- If it does not work, assume that I do it for the sake of knowledge...

hmm...other incentives?? God knows the rest...I'm just trying to do my best..if everybody think it's fardu kifayah, and finally nobody do it, then it's a sin to the whole community..If there is somebody much better than me, more capability than myself, then I'm more than ready to back off...

Pack-lah...

I just simply don't have time to write these days since I'm attending 3 weeks course and have to visit my Tokwan at hospital..what a hectic life!

Yesterday, when I came back from Seberang Jaya, most petrol stations were full of cars :-D..Thank God, I already knew Pack-lah goin' to announce the new oil price yesterday so that I already fill up my car in the morning...the stampede much worst than before, I would say. Some petrol station, the queue can be up to 500 meter..imagine...Come to think of it, now I always spend around RM60 per week. After this, I need EXTRA RM30...although we still can afford it doesn't mean we are willing to spend that much..

My questions to the 'decision makers' up there:

Do they pay for:

1) Petrol ?
2) Road tax ?
3) Toll ?

and yet they still claim for travel allowances. First thing government should look into is to withdraw all ministers and JUSA allowances related to transportation. Then only they will understand our situation..If they are not in our shoes, how are they going to understand our need?

Or else, PACK-LAH!
