Tips for consumers..

I read this article on NST today...hmm...well.. the advice sounds like certain politicians advise before election..

  • A change of lifestyle — Cut down on eating in restaurants. Eat more home-cooked food and take food to work instead of buying out all the time.
I have no problem with this but from the article itself, home cook is more expensive than eat out...That's what we are facing now..we used to pay RM4 but now RM5++...hahaha or should I cycle to office ?...no more tudung bawal, no more hush puppies shoes hahahaha

  • Buy only what is needed — Reduce paying bills with credit cards.
I like to use credit card so I can claim the points with something else...just redeem a good iron using my redemption point...I believe the author is too outdated on spending pattern...as long as we tried to repay what we owe every month, I don't see the problem of using credit card...
  • Live moderately — Being thrifty is not a bad habit. Don’t follow the spending pattern of other people, live within your means.
This sentence make k/Pidah was kicked out in KK..well, are you saying farmers should eat rice with salted fish (anchovies is expensive)?? and those 'on top' eat out in 5 star hotel??

  • Prioritise — Think about what is most needed in your life instead of trying to get everything. Know the difference between need and want and put need before want.
Tell me how to priorities?? I'm not even sure if I will live tomorrow...live life today...

Well, I would say easy to say, but can the author himself do it?? I don't expect anything from NST..still sleeping..wake up!

another media twist...

Well, mainstream media are irrelevant anymore (or never relevant??...) Look at this Bernama news about what Mukhriz said..and how media twist his speech and said Mukhriz give his full support to sleeping PM...what a dumb media....I was watching news when I heard this media twist..hello..he actually called the PM to decide wisely ...It is a clear message from rakyat..Even if they place a doll to contest with BN candidate, people still vote for the doll...

BUTTERWORTH, March 10 (Bernama) -- Umno Youth executive committee member Datuk Mukhriz Tun Mahathir today expressed his full support for Datuk Seri Abdullah Ahmad Badawi to lead the nation as Prime Minister.

"I will support any action that will gain confidence towards the prime minister," Mukhriz, who is also MP for Jerlun, said at a packed news conference.

He said this amid rumours that he had called for a news conference to call for the resignation of the prime minister following Barisan Nasionals shocking defeat in the just-ended general election.

Some 500 people, including Umno Youth leaders from the northern zone, attended the news conference which was scheduled to be held at Sunway Hotel but was later moved to Pearl View Hotel.

"The SMS is not true that I'm calling for someone's resignation.

I know there were SMS going round stating that I would do so. I'm not sure who was the culprit behind it," he said. "I 've been receiving many calls and SMS expressing many views.

What is apparent to me is that there is a sense of loss among Umno and Barisan Nasional members because it has been an unmitigated situation that we are faced with, unprecedented in many ways.

"We have never lost that many states, so it is a wake-up call definitely," said Mukhriz.

He said the just-ended general election showed that the people wanted their voices heard, and it was very clear, and he appealed to the leadership to listen to the peoples wishes and take correct initiatives to remedy the situation.

"We have to accept the peoples choice and this has been a humbling experience.

"Personally my friends and I understand the feelings of the people and at the same time, we are very confident that all efforts will be made to return the rakyat's confidence in the BN government.

At this moment, we appeal to all parties to remain calm and to remain rational," said Mukhriz.

"We are appealing to the top leadership to take cognizance of the peoples wish. We see perhaps some change, I cant say for sure what kind of change," he said.

Mukhriz also expressed confidence that Barisan Nasional, particularly Umno, will use its own party machinery and party process to take remedial action to return peoples confidence in the party.

Asked whether the prime minister should take personal responsibility for the BNs defeat in the election, he said: "I think all of us have to take responsibility.

"I think the voice of the people has been heard in many different forums. Sometimes we are not listening. So I think the message now is extremely clear, there is no clearer message than the results of the last election," he said.

On whether the people have confidence in Abdullah's leadership, he said: "We will always have confidence in the leadership. Its really now up to PM to decide what changes to be made."

On the dissatisfaction of the people, he said Barisan Nasional had not been addressing the real issues that "are close to the hearts of the people.

"We may know what the problems are but we are not providing the right solution. I think the message is now very clear and I believe the government that will be formed will be the one that's going to take heed of the people's wishes," he said.

"You can make drastic changes but whether that helps in gaining the confidence of the people, that's another matter. So what is important is that eventually, BN can come back in full swing in the next election. That's the whole intention actually."

He hoped that these issues would be discussed at Umno meetings at all levels, and that appropriate and acceptable measures could be taken.

"I think we have our own way of solving this kind of situation. We understand that after losing five states, it is not a small matter but at the same time, we feel happy that BN has control at the federal level.

Asked on the sudden change of venue for the news conference, he said he felt there was some tension at the earlier venue, and he wanted to be sure order was maintained.

"The reason we wanted to do this press conference is to state our opinion and not to cause any discomfort or chaos.

It has never been my intention in any way to insult any one's intelligence.

"What I'm trying to do today is to appeal for calm that eventually some sense will prevail and as I said, we will make the right decision," he said.

Earlier, a foreign wire reported that Mukhriz was calling a news conference to call for Abdullah to step down as prime minister.

People's power...

I never so involved in election, however, this time I guess I really couldn't stand the morons leaders anymore...

I was in Shah Alam for the whole week before election. wahh..couldn't believe so many 'buan mengambang' over there...hehehe...hello..'Pack-Lah' people made it clear to you they did not want the lembab Aziz, but you never listen...

On the way back from KL, I passed along 'hot sits' in Perak including Semanggol, Selinsing and Bagan Serai...Wah..from the election poster itself, I already thought opposition would win...When I got to my home town, wahh...my kampung even like 'raya'..Full of posters, banners and flags..the hottest sit in Perak, Parliament Parit Buntar and DUN Titi Serong...At night, me and my sisters drove around (what we called it melawat kawasan)...Not only in Perak, we also drove along Penang border, Parliament Nibong Tebal, Pulau Pinang...Dato' Zainal aka Non Panjang spent heaps of money for posters...what a waste....

On election day....something so surprised. At 8.30 in the morning BN folks came to my house to bring my grandfather to cast his vote. My grandfather was a genuine UMNO supporter. He always remind us, UMNO was the one who met British to get indepence, not PAS not Nik Aziz...hahaha...typical old folks...back to my story, the BN folk hug me after I declared 'kami bulan' hahahaha..

Election goes quite well...Will post pictures later...On election day I was asked to pick up my house keys from developer office..of course, such a hectic day and yet I have to deal with my new house as well...After that, I drove around to see how's the election in other places..surprisingly, I saw lots of Chinese and Indian holding PAS or PKR flags.....hahahaha...

Just before maghrib, the PAS was pronounced a winner in peti undi that I cast my vote...well, at night, we went to Dewan Merdeka to wait for announcement. While waiting, friends from around the countries smsed and called us to update unofficial news around the country. That's how we got to know Sharizat and Semivalue lost, Nurul Izzah victory, DAP won all seats in Penang, Kedah won by PAS and press rushed to SUK Selangor.. Only at 12am, EC announced PAS won for parliamentary sit and DUN Titi Serong, while keadilan won DUN Kuala Kurau...

After got back, we watched bernama news until 5am..hehehe...It's so depressed when I woke up for Subuh prayer and I hear opposition will form gov in Perak..although, I want to teach BN a lesson, I never dream DAP will lead us...

It's a shame to BN for losing so many seats..If I'm the sleeping PM, I definitely step down...or if maybe even kill myself...

People don't hate BN...people just did not like his and his SIL leadership..I'm glad BN won with less than 2/3 majority. In other word, they can form a government but they cannot make decision..raja boneka....so, I expect GST, new pension scheme, oil price, toll, groceries price will stay as they are...

Finally MALAYSIAN shows PEOPLE POWER..YB no loner stand for Yang Berhormat but YANG BERKHIDMAT...If you fail to berkhidmat, you can go fly kite!
